I agree with you that some people are just to lazy to pick up after themselves and put thier garbage in the trash can provided...and don't even get me started about the cigarette butts. I do my part and every spring I walk over and pick up as much of the garbage as I can. This past Spring(1914) I picked up 10 grocery bags full and there was still a lot left. I have tried contacting the City of Burlington and I was told that it is too dangerous for summer students to pick up the garbage that is in between the large rocks. I have asked for an extra grabage can be placed there and was told that it would not make a difference. I asked if I could post a sign to visitors to remind them to throw away their garbage in the trash can provided and was told I could not do that. I walk over there several times a week and always pick up and place trash in the can. Mondays are the worst, after the tourists have left the area there is quite a bit more than any other day of the week. One person cannot possibly keep up...I wish the City would step up and do a better job. Frustrated st the people/pigs that leave the trash behind.
