Taxpayer's Federation - petition

Calls for a massive overhaul of the MPs' pension plan are resonating, and not just with taxpayers but with MPs themselves.

For every dollar an MP contributes to the pension pool, the taxpayer pays $24.

This is the message of a five-city billboard campaign launched Wednesday by the Canadian Taxpayer Federation.

The billboards urge Canadians to text "TAX" to 212121 to sign a petition.

The billboards are in Vancouver, Calgary, Regina, Ottawa and Halifax.

"Taxpayers are fed up with footing the bill for pensions that are among the most lavish in Canada," CTF director Greg Thomas said. Rather than the 24-to-one ratio of the current system, the CTF wants a one-to-one ratio that places more of the burden for their pensions on the MPs themselves.

If you wish to sign the petition, here's the link: http://taxpayer.com/node/14387

Thanks Ralph ... not much incentive for your Prime Minister since he gets two pensions from what I understand
