Is Canada contemplating allowing US missiles on sovereign soil?

Now there is a scary subject. It is not the first time it has come up and although rejected in the past it was a different time and a different government. We now have a Conservative government that wants to hold their people in a state of paranoia.

It is a sad state of affairs when a friend asks you to help defend them when you are their weak little neighbor. The greatest fear here is that if nuclear missiles are fired at the US Canadians on the West Coast and perhaps some in the North could become collateral damage to an errant projectile.

Will it be necessary to setup a chain of defense on sovereign land such as British Columbia and the Yukon, then the Northwest territories and so on? Of course it will, the minute we allow defensive or retaliatory missiles on Canadian soil we have then set the battle lines.

It is a really tough decision and one the Harper government should not take lightly. Before making this decision. The Harper government would be wise to seek a peaceful stance and try to broker a less antagonistic approach from North Korea however this government is not known for its diplomacy but more for its own antagonistic hard line.
