2013, "The year Stephen Harper stole Christmas"

I cannot help but look back on this past year, and the Harper reign of destruction, with a sad heart and deep concern for my fellow Canadians. The multiple cuts to services and benefits that were made in the name of a "balanced budget" have left many in a depressed and desperate situation.

Our First Nation peoples are left out in the cold with little hope of real dialogue and assistance to improve their education system, housing and to provide real opportunity to profit from their lands and lifestyle.

Our brave warriors are left to deal with wounds to the mind that only they can see and feel and their government ignores.

100's of thousands unemployed and no plan to create employment.

A planned attack on Ontario to punish the province by holding back transfer payments.

The Harper government brags about their record of job creation. A record of part time minimum wage jobs where Canadians must work 2 or more jobs just to put food on the table. Family life as we once knew it is stressed to the limit with record debt just to keep their heads above water.

Child poverty is at record levels, food banks are over worked and under funded.

On the bright side Jim Flaherty insists that the Harper government will achieve a budget surplus by 2015..... at whose expense?

This is a government elected by the people that does nothing for the people. A government that has been found in contempt of parliament. A government found guilty of election fraud.

This is a government of incompetence, controlled by industry hell bent on replacing experienced Canadian workers with "Temporary Foreign Workers"

"Canadians be damned"
