Ministers without Credibility

As the lead up to the 2015 Election begins the Harper government is revving up their trash talk, at the expense of taxpayers and donors.

People tend to use aggression and negativity when they themselves feel inadequate. We see it in elementary schools, through high school and into university and the workplace. We call it bullying however the “root cause” of this syndrome is one’s own failures.

They shout and become accusatory such as John Baird. They ridicule and avoid answers such as Paul Calandra. They claim government secrecy such as Pierre Poilievre. They use sarcasm and belittlement such as Shelley Glover while yet others use their feminine assets like Rona Ambrose and simply read from a script sent to them by the “boys in short pants” in the PMO.

If we take a good look at the various Federal Ministers we see a group of people who are not qualified for their position and thus have no credibility with the people they oversee. And what is even more troubling for the country is that these dupes are obvious failures to the international community.

If Stephen Harper really wants to talk smack he had better be prepared to get smacked down.

Not one of his ministers has the education or the qualifications to be where they are in his cabinet. Would a graduate of political science be hired to oversee the medical staff of a major hospital? Highly improbable however Rona Ambrose is the Minister of Health for Canada. She has zero credibility.

Then there is Jason Kenney Minister of Employment and Social Development who studied philosophy but dropped out to work with the Liberal party in Saskatchewan, we all know how his Temporary Foreign Worker program put Canadians out of work.

Canada’s Minister of the Environment Leona Aglukkaq who, along with Stephen Harper, has so little credibility that no one at the UN came to hear them speak.

Let us not forget Stephen Harper who claims others are not ready to run the country yet his own experience before being elected as Prime Minister was exactly zero. We have watched as many of his cohorts and advisers are being indicted for a variety of crimes against voters, taxpayers and the public. He put all his eggs, and the basket, in dirty oil which has stalled the manufacturing sector.

Year after year Stephen Harper has lowered taxes to the benefit of corporations while telling Canadians that it was incentive for industry to upgrade equipment and to hire employees.

What Stephen Harper has failed to do is far greater than what he has accomplished. Lower taxes have only helped the upper 20% of Canadians while the working class picks up the tab.

He has put Canada’s economy in jeopardy by signing trade deals with China, Korea and Asia without consultation and in secrecy.

The sad truth is that I do not know anyone who can honestly say that their life has improved under this government. But more disappointing is all those hypocrites that profess support for Harpers economic plans are the same ones who take advantage of the benefits put in place by someone else who had the best interest of the people in mind.
