We want to make sure everyone understands the importance of the story reported last night by The Washington Post. The Post describes a personal effort by Donald Trump to mislead the American people regarding the purpose of Don Jr.'s meeting with a Russian lawyer. Some of you have written to us saying mislead is just another way to say Trump lied. But this is more important than that.
From The Post:
"This latest story is clearly one of the most significant developments in this scandal to date, for two reasons. First, it describes an organized effort to mislead the public — not to spin, or minimize the story, or distract from it, or throw out wild accusations about someone else, but to intentionally fool everyone into believing something false. Second, it implicates the president himself."
President Trump is now directly implicated in trying to cover up the Russia scandal
